I am a retired hospital social worker with 25 years experience in counselling patient and families in loss and grief related to illness. I am a strong proponent of the options for less expensive funerals in Ottawa which will allow families to express their grief in a culturally familiar way while ensuring that overwhelming funeral expenses do not burden the family at a time when they are most vulnerable. I joined the Funeral Co-op board in 2010. |
